Atomic Launch

A retro rocket lifting off at dawn, screen printed like a 1960s space poster

A space-age poster come to life: a finned rocket stands on its launch tower at dawn, printed in seven flat inks with halftone dots and a little mis-registration, under a dotted sky of sparkles, a moon and a Sputnik riding its dashed orbit. Steam puffs from the pad and searchlights sweep the sky; once a loop the swing arms fold back, the rocket lights up and climbs out of the poster in a great cloud of steam, then comes back down tail first on its flame and settles on the pad again. Move the mouse and the searchlights swing to find it, click for a starburst; with music on the sparkles and starbursts pulse on the beat and the flame and control-house windows swell with the bass.
