Clay Swamp

A herd of plasticine sauropods grazing in a misty Jurassic swamp

A Jurassic swamp sculpted from plasticine and shot in stop motion: a herd of long-necked sauropods stands knee-deep in the water, lowering their heads to graze and lifting them again, their reflections wobbling beneath them, while a volcano smokes on the misty horizon, ferns uncurl in the foreground and two dragonflies dart about. Every lump of clay has its fingerprints and a waxy sheen, and it all moves on twelve frames a second. Move the mouse and the big one raises its head to look, the dragonflies come to investigate and the water ripples; with music on the volcano puffs to the bass.
