Greenhouse Rain

Rain on the panes of a glass conservatory full of plants

You're sitting in an old iron-framed conservatory among monstera, ferns and trailing pothos while rain beads and runs down the glass, the garden outside softened to a grey-green blur that follows the time of day. The time and date are written with a fingertip in the fogged-up glass of one pane, and your cursor wipes its own clear streaks that slowly fog back over. At dusk a few Edison bulbs come on and glow with your music, and the raindrops on the glass glint on the beat.
