Lava Lamp

A 70s lava lamp glowing on a walnut shelf, wax rising and sinking

A retro lava lamp glows on a walnut shelf in a dark room. Hot wax leaves the pool on the heater bright and swollen, stretches as it rises, cools and darkens near the top and sinks back to warm up again, merging and parting on the way. The lamp lights the room: a warm pool on the shelf and the wallpaper, a shadow cone above the cap, and a little moonlight from the window. Hold the mouse near the glass to warm the wax and draw it towards you; click to tap the glass and set the blobs wobbling. With music on the bulb swells with the bass and the lip of the base flickers on the beat. Choose classic red in amber, pink in violet or lime in teal.
