Leaf Shadows

Sunlight and swaying leaf shadows on a warm plaster wall

A patch of window light falls across a warm plaster wall, full of the swaying shadows of monstera and palm leaves, some crisp and some soft, beside a potted snake plant. The light slides across the wall and changes colour with your clock, from cool morning gold to an amber afternoon, a pink sunset and faint moonlight. Thin brass numerals on the wall show the time and date and cast their own shadows; turn up the rain and drops slide down through the light as it cools and dims. Move the mouse to stir a breeze, and the leaves sway with your music.
