Mesa Linocut

Desert mesas at golden hour, a hawk circling, cut as a linocut print

Southwest desert mesas and buttes cut as a linocut reduction print: a few flat inks on cream paper, shaded with carved white gouge lines that ring the low sun, run along the cliff strata and down the talus. The light follows your clock: the rocks are lit on the side facing the sun and throw long shadows across the desert, the heat shimmers on the horizon, and at night a crescent moon and carved stars come out. A red-tailed hawk circles overhead; move the mouse and it circles over the cursor. With music on the sun swells with the bass and the sage stirs to the tune.
