MidEvil: The Deep

The glowing bottom of MidEvil's old mine, in the game's own pixel art

The very bottom of the Deep, the old mine under Thornbury in Brady's medieval farming game MidEvil, drawn with the game's own pixel art: the Heart of the Mountain glowing red on its stone beside the open treasure chest, the farmer working the gold seams with a pickaxe, timber supports with lamps, flickering torches, violet crystals humming in the rock and a dark pool where drips fall. Purple slimes wobble about, a skeleton wanders, bats loop under the roof and blue wisps drift through the dark. Move the mouse and you carry a lantern: the wisps come to see, the slimes shy away; click to strike sparks off the rock. With music on the crystals pulse with the beat and the Heart swells with the bass. Or go back up to the old mine, with green and blue slimes and copper and iron in the walls.
