Ringed Giant

A banded gas giant and its rings turning slowly among the stars

A banded gas giant hangs in space, its storms shearing slowly as it turns, while wide rings cast thin shadows across its clouds and small moons glide by. It follows your clock like a phase: fully lit at noon, half-lit at dawn and dusk, and at midnight a thin backlit crescent with glowing rings. Move the mouse to drift the view and watch the moons shift in parallax. With music on, the ringlets shimmer with the spectrum.
