Savanna Dusk
Giraffes strolling past an acacia at sunset, dyed into cotton as a batik
The sun sinks huge and molten over the African savanna while three giraffes, a calf among them, pace slowly past an umbrella-thorn acacia, made as a hand-drawn batik: every shape a flat dye from cream to indigo, outlined in pale lines of wax, filled with traditional patterns and webbed with the fine crackle of dye seeping through cracked wax. Heat shimmers along the horizon, a skein of birds crosses the sky and the long grass sways. Move the mouse through the grass to part it, and click to send birds flying up out of the acacia; with music on the sun's rays brighten along with the tune.
